Question: What is KENTRADE?

Answer: Kenya Trade Network Agency (KENTRADE) is a state corporation ministry of National

Treasury that was established on 28th January 2011 under a legal Notice No 6 of 2011 -.

Question: What is the mandate KENTRADE?

Answer: The overall mandate of the KENTRADE is to facilitate international trade in Kenya by reducing delays and lowering costs associated with clearance of goods at the Kenyan borders through the implementation and operationalization of a National Electronic Single Window platform.

Question: What does the abbreviation G2B stands for in your corporate logo? Answer: Government-to-Business

 

B.  ON THE KENYA NATIONAL ELECTRONIC SINGLE WINDOW SYSTEM (KNESWS)

Question: What is Electronic Single Window System?

Answer: UN/CEFACT Recommendation 33 (2004) defines Single Window as:-

“a facility that allows parties in trade & transport to lodge standardized information and documents with a single entry point to fulfill all imports, export and transit-related regulatory requirements.”
