KenInvest boost KenTrade agenda with portal to promote business climate
Partner state agency, Kenya Investment Authority (KenInvest) is set to launch a trade portal targeting foreign investors and traders and whose ultimate objective is to complement effort by KenTrade in facilitating trade and improving the business climate.
Managing Director of KenInvest Dr Moses Ikiara said the Authority said KenInvest has developed e-regulations electronic system for streamlining investment application and facilitation procedures and also production of investment guides through a web portal i-Guide.

Both processes will be useful in creating an administrative interface that allows for faster and efficient registration of new investments, updating of investment application procedures, investment opportunity and data.
“We are now effectively complementing KenTrade efforts on the online platform,” he said at the breakfast meeting attended by key stakeholders’ representatives including Principal Secretary in the ministry of East Africa Affairs, Commerce and Tourism Dr. Ibrahim Mohammed and KenTrade CEO Mr Alex Kabuga.
Mr Kabuga welcomed the development of i-Guide and e-regulation portals as necessary support for KenTrade’s Kenya TradeNet System as both are geared at transparency in trade procedures & processes with ultimate aim of improving Kenya’s business climate.
