Once fully operational, the Kenya TradeNet System will provide a single entry point for importers and exporters to electronically submit and receive approvals from twenty four regulatory agencies, enabling an easier, faster, cheaper and more transparent cargo clearance process.
Mr Wangora said the implementation of the Kenya TradeNet System was at the conclusive phase and the agency was now focused on its sustainability and traction to the national and regional economy. “Our focus now is how we leverage on Single Window System to move our economy forward and drive its global competitiveness,” he said. He welcomed Singapore offer for technical support adding the agency will channel its need through the ministry.
