Single Window and development in Kenya
KenTrade partnered with the Media Council of Kenya (MCK) to host business journalists for a forum on Kenya TradeNet System sponsored by the World Bank Group. Acting Chief Executive Officer of KenTrade Mr. Amos Wangora led a panel discussion convened by the Media Council of Kenya and featured CEOs and representatives of port agencies.
Panelists included head of Pharmacy and Poison Board Dr.Kipkerich Koskei, CEO of Shippers Council for Eastern Africa Mr. Gilbert Langat, KIFWA representative Mr. Ben Omollo, Director at KenTrade Ms.Naomi Namu and Mr. John Abongs of Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS).The event moderated by NTV Business journalists Wallace Kantai was an opportunity for business journalists to gain an in-depth understanding of the System and its implementation in Kenya by KenTrade. The forum focused role of Single Window in spurring economic development in Kenya through facilitating cross border trade and easing the cost of doing business in Kenya.
