KenTrade rolls out free high speed internet and Wi-Fi along border posts

KenTrade in partnership with the World Bank group will roll out free internet connectivity along key border posts. This is in an effort to drive the country’s regional and global competitiveness. Some of the towns to benefit include Malaba, Busia, Namanga, Isibania, Taveta, Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) and the sea port in Kilindini Mombasa. According to CEO Amos Wangora, this will help to promote the trade facilitation mandate through easy and convenient online application of permits by exporters and importers through the Kenya TradeNet System.
